Don't look awayWhat am I hiding?
During the week

Worship this week
Let it turn your attention.
- Fresh Wind — Hillsong Worship
- Run to the Father — Cody Carnes
Let worship help you come honestly into His presence.
Family time
Don't walk alone.
Bring the same conversation you have been having with Jesus home. You do not need a polished answer — just an honest one.
Your turn, kids — ask your parent(s)
- 1Can you remember the first time you met Jesus and repented?
- 2What have you repented of in the last couple of months?
- 3Are you glad you repented to Jesus and others? What would your life be like if you had kept it to yourself?
Kids, ask your parent: “Can you tell me about something Jesus has asked you to change or repent of?”
Pray together
Jesus, give us courage to be honest with You and with one another. Bring what is hidden into the light and lead us into freedom.
Prayer + fasting
Make space.
Fasting is a simple practice of laying something down so you can turn your attention more intentionally toward God. It is not about earning His attention — it is about making space to notice the One who is already near.
Use the time you would normally spend eating, or on the thing you are fasting from, to pray, read Scripture, listen, and respond.
During your fast
- 1Confess what you are hiding.
- 2Abide: receive the identity and grace Jesus gives you.
- 3Ask what He is asking you to do — then take the step.
- 4Let His Word remain in you through prayer, reading, memorization, and meditation.
- 5Ask who He wants you to love, and make a plan to act.
A simple fast
A traditional option is a 24-hour food fast, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 PM the next day, drinking water and other simple non-caloric drinks as appropriate. If you are fasting with your household, choose one shared moment to pray together: before school, at dinner, before bed, or during the time you would normally spend on the thing you are laying down.
Prayer and fasting help us say with our time and attention: Jesus, You matter more. I am making room to hear You, trust You, and respond.
Other ways to make space: fast one meal, social media, entertainment, sugar or caffeine, or another distraction — and use that time to pray, read Scripture, listen, and respond.
Choose a practice that is wise for you. If fasting from food is not medically appropriate, choose a non-food fast.
Daily rhythms
Keep making room.
Scripture
